Quadrille beat strong competition to win the rights to produce stationery for The Great British Bake Off.  Their range will be launched into retail to coincide with the transmission of the third series in Summer 2012.

Somerbond acquires Viz

Somerbond has acquired the rights to produce T Shirts, underwear and nightwear for the Viz comic.  Their first work from the two year deal is loungewear for Next, which will be launched in Spring 2012.

Portico to publish Great British Bake Off calendars

Portico has acquired the rights to produce calendars and diaries for The Great British Bake Off.  The range which includes recipe photography from The Great British Book of Baking (Penguin) launches in Autumn 2012.

Peter Black and M&S win Great British Bake Off giftware

Peter Black has acquired the rights to create an exclusive Great British Bake Off giftware range for Marks & Spencer.  The one year deal was brokered by Claire Potter at Metrostar.  The collection will appear in stores later this year.

BBC Haymarket Exhibitions partners with The Great British Bake Off

BBC Haymarket Exhibitions has acquired consumer events rights to The Great British Bake Off for its BBC Good Food Shows.  The aim is to re-create the television experience live for visitors to the shows and enable them to take part in a Bake Off event.

Simon & Schuster acquires Scouts outdoor cookery title

Simon & Schuster has acquired World rights to ‘How to cook an egg in an orange’ from Claire Potter and Stuart Cooper at Metrostar.  The ultimate cookbook for today’s outdoor cooks it is being written by Chef and Scout Leader, Nick Allen.

Metrostar to manage brand licensing for The Great British Bake Off

Love Productions has appointed Metrostar to manage its brand licensing programme for the BBC Two cookery series, The Great British Bake Off.  Metrostar will be showcasing the property at Brand Licensing in October 2011 with a view to growing its list of commercial partners.

Oxford University Press appoints Metrostar

Oxford University Press (OUP) has appointed Metrostar to manage the new brand licensing campaign for their best-selling children’s picture book series, Winnie the Witch.  Metrostar is working with OUP on a new style guide for Winnie, and her cat Wilbur, targeting apparel, stationery, gifting and accessories for boys and girls aged 3-7.

Roy Lowe to partner with Dear Zoo

Roy Lowe & Sons is to partner with Dear Zoo to create a range of children’s socks based upon the popular picture book.  Initially, the socks will accompany the Dear Zoo baby and toddler apparel ranges being developed by Metrostar and TV Mania for Tu Clothing in Sainsbury’s.

BBC Books to publish tie-in to The Great British Bake Off

BBC Books is to publish ‘How to Bake a Victoria Sponge and Other Baking Secrets’ in August 2011.  The tie-in to the second series of The Great British Bake Off, the book will feature recipes from the shows and tips from judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood.  It has been written by cookery author, Linda Collister.
