Viz adds Kimm & Miller and I-recall to licensee list

Giftware company, Kimm & Miller and online greetings firm, I-recall are the latest additions to the growing list of Viz licensees.  Kimm & Miller are developing a range of character-based novelty gifts, whilst I-recall are planning to feature Viz annual covers on their new website

Transworld to publish Rufus Hound ‘put downs’ title

Transworld has won a competitive pitch for the rights to publish ‘Stand Up Put Downs’ by Rufus Hound.  The title, which was conceived by Metrostar’s Stuart Cooper, is a collection of put downs from famous stand up comedians.  It is edited and introduced by Rufus Hound and will be published in late 2011.

Orion wins rights to publish new Dad’s Army title

Orion Books has won the rights to publish ‘The Walmington-On-Sea Home Guard Training Manual’ from Metrostar acting for Dad’s Army creators, David Croft and Jimmy Perry.  The title, which will be written by Guy Adams in conjunction with Croft and Perry, will be published in late 2011.

Egmont and Titan to create novels, annuals and magazines for MI High

Metrostar has confirmed that publishers Egmont and Titan are to publish books and magazines inspired by the BBC kids’ drama, MI High. Egmont will publish an annual and novels in 2011 whilst Titan will publish two magazine specials, with a view to creating an on-going title.
