The Great British Bake Off publishing with Hodder & Stoughton

Hodder & Stoughton is launching a new programme of The Great British Bake Off publishing to tie in with series 6. “The Great British Bake Off: Celebrations” will be the first book, due for publication August 2015.  The “Bake it Better” series will consist of “Classic Cakes”, “Biscuits”, “Pies & Tarts” and “Breads” (publication August 2015). “The Great British Bake Off Annual: Another Slice” will be published October 2015.

Be Prepared for Peartree!

Leading designer of humorous greeting cards, Peartree Heybridge, is launching a range of Scouts greeting cards at PG Live in June this year. Taking inspiration from the Scouts archives, an initial range of 18 cards uses black & white photography, watercolour prints and Scouts motto Be Prepared as prompts for gentle, tongue in cheek humour.

Chloe’s Closet appoints Metrostar

Splash Entertainment has appointed Metrostar to develop and manage the licensing programme for its popular TV animation, Chloe’s Closet in the UK and Ireland.  Metrostar will work with Spash and many of ‘Chloe’s‘ licensing partners worldwide to launch her into the UK as well as introducing her to UK licensees and retailers.


Leading British paper craft company, Crafter’s Companion is developing an extensive range inspired by Downton Abbey. The elements, which will be on sale in the UK and the US in Autumn 2015, will enable Downton fans to create beautiful cards in the style of the popular TV drama.

Danilo Develops Second ‘Bake Off’ Dated Range

Danilo is creating a second range of Bake Off dated products, comprising slim and square calendars, a diary and a family planner. The products feature recipes from the Bake Off books. The first Bake Off collection, published in 2014, was a ‘top 20’ range for Danilo.

WWRD Downton Abbey figurines

WWRD is to produce a range of Royal Doulton ceramic figurines of Downton Abbey characters.  The range is due for launch October 2016.


Following the successful launch of its lift-the-flap jigsaw and game, Milly & Flynn has developed a brand new range of Dear Zoo wooden toys. Available from September this year, the initial range focuses on early learning and traditional play across five key product types; a push along, a pull-along skittle set, a shape sorter, puzzle blocks and a play tray.


Bath-based artist, Alice Tait, is Metrostar’s newest client. Alice’s giftware collections ‘London’, ‘Paris’ and ‘Great British Dogs’ are already established in retailers such as John Lewis and Waterstone’s. Metrostar will extend Alice’s reach into new product areas, retailers and territories.

Toot the Tiny Tugboat Steams Ahead!

Digital-I data has confirmed Toot’s early success on Milkshake. He outperforms his overall slot average by 28%, and by a massive 73% for key target group, boys aged 4-6. Toot also launched on Cartoonito in March and is already their 3rd most popular show for boys aged 4-9 and the 5th most popular show for housewives with kids aged 0-3. Both channels have now confirmed that Toot will be on air every day until the end of 2015.

James Morton Explains the Science of Baking

2013 Bake Off finalist James Morton’s second book explores the fascinating science of baking, with over 80 foolproof recipes and techniques.  ‘How Baking Works (and What To Do if it Doesn’t)’ is published by Ebury on March 12th.
