Growing up in Cardiff, Beca learned to bake from her parents and both her grandmothers. Her Welsh-inspired recipes took her all the way to the semi-finals of the 2013 series of BBC2’s The Great British Bake Off. She now has her own cookery series on S4C, Becws (meaning ‘bakehouse’), in which she prepares traditional Welsh dishes and recipes from further afield. Beca shares her skills and knowledge widely. In addition to being a regular cookery demonstrator and writer for Borough Market, she teaches at the Seasoned Cookery School at Catton Hall, South Derbyshire and has has taught apprentices at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Restaurant. She also gives talks and demos to WI groups, at BBC Good Food shows and at food festivals like The BIG Cake Show, Conwy Feast and the Abergavenny Food Festival.
