Award-winning BBC drama, Call The Midwife, is working with Metrostar to extend its licensing programme. The popular show, which attracts over ten million viewers per episode on BBC One and is watched by hundreds of millions around the world, has run for 7 years. It was the most watched TV programme on Christmas Day 2017. As a result of this outstanding performance, it has been re-commissioned by the BBC for three further series. There will be a Christmas Special in 2018 followed by an 8th series in January.
Previous Call The Midwife brand extensions, which have been managed directly by producers, Neal Street Productions, include a gift beauty range for Marks & Spencer and books based upon the series.
Rachel Lowe Ltd will produce board games, jigsaw puzzles and card games for launch end 2018.
Neal Street and Metrostar are seeking other partners in a broad range of categories from gifts and stationery to partworks, homewares, calendars and cards.
