Helga Stentzel is a creative and highly original visual artist working across a wide range of media including illustration, photography, video and stop motion animation. Describing herself as an ‘idea catcher ‘ she uses food, clothes, utensils and other everyday items to create designs that are full of fun and quirky humour. Originally from Siberia in Russia, Helga studied at Central St Martin’s in London and started her career as an art director in the advertising industry, where she learned about branding, marketing and strategic thinking.
She now creates social media content for brands including Honda, O2 and Black and White Whiskey, and for the BBC preschool animations Hey Duggee, Go Jetters and Sarah and Duck. Her work can be seen on her website helgastentzel.com and on her Instagram account @made_by_helga, which has over 100,000 followers. Helga is interested in books, newspapers and magazines as well as greetings cards, stationery, mugs and other consumer products.
