About The Jockey Club

The Jockey Club was founded in 1750 by a group of noblemen brought together by a shared passion for one of Britain’s oldest sports – horseracing.

Ever since, The Jockey Club has been the true champion of British horseracing and everything that makes it special. A true heritage brand, The Jockey Club has always been an innovator and pioneer, helping to craft the sport’s next chapter and its continued place at the heart of British society.

Today, The Jockey Club stages some of Britain’s most thrilling sporting occasions, including the Grand National, The Cheltenham Festival, The Guineas and The Derby, across its 15 racing venues nationwide. It also owns The National Stud and more than 3,000 acres of world-class training grounds in Newmarket, Lambourn and Epsom.

The historic Jockey Club Rooms private members club is located in Newmarket. With corridors travelled by historical legends, reception rooms enjoyed by Royalty and dining rooms overlooked by equine masterpieces, this exclusive club is a highly prestigious venue for weddings and events.

Governed by Royal Charter and with Her Majesty The Queen as its Patron, The Jockey Club stands for something deeply aspirational.

Our aim, therefore, is to create a premium, quintessentially British lifestyle brand with strong international potential. We are seeking partners in fashion, outdoor clothing, accessories, stationery, luggage, fine food & drink and other premium products.
