Dan, one of the most memorable contestants in 2018’s The Great British Bake Off, has signed with Metrostar. He is currently working on a proposal for a book on the theme of ‘household management’. Dan is available for food shows and festivals, for interviews and features in print and online media, and for appearances on TV and radio.

Former Harry Potter and Downton Abbey licensee, Rachel Lowe is to create board games, jigsaw puzzles and card games for Call the Midwife. Call the Midwife is the UK’s most popular TV drama with over 10 million viewers per episode and watched by hundreds of millions around the world. There will be a Christmas Special in 2018 followed by an 8th series in January. The series is produced by Neal Street Productions.
The publicity campaign for Just a French Guy Cooking kicks off with Alex’s appearance on BBC Radio 2’s Steve Wright in the Afternoon. As well as explaining why he wrote the book and his debt to mentor Jamie Oliver, Alex gives Steve and the other guests a tip for making perfect scrambled eggs – use a very low heat!
Shetland: Cooking at the Edge of the World, published today by Quadrille, is the fourth title by food and drinks author James Morton. Co-written with this father, the broadcaster and journalist Tom Morton, the book celebrates the cooking, landscape and traditions of the island where James was born and raised.
Today sees the publication, by Quadrille, of Just a French Guy Cooking, the debut title by YouTube star Alex Gabriel, whose ‘Alex French Guy Cooking Channel’ has over 750,000 subscribers. With a Foreword by Jamie Oliver, the book showcases Alex’s geeky approach to cooking, with 90 recipes including French classics with a modern twist as well as Asian and Middle Eastern-inspired dishes.
Metrostar has brokered a deal between Michael O’Mara Books and Transparent TV for the publishing rights to the latter’s Channel 5 series Portillo’s Hidden History of Britain. The book, which will be written by Michael Portillo, is to be published on 1st November 2018.
